For those of you who don't know I teach Art to grades K through 8, and I love it.
In First Grade we were inspired by this painting by Eli Halpin to create our works of art. This was an easy one day project in which all the students were successful.
Students used pencil to draw their sheep. Crayon to create a horizon line (they are so good at doing this now!) and created grass and sky, and then they outlined their sheep with permanent marker. When they were through they used green and pink ( a tint of red, so complementary colors) to create chicken pox for their sheep. They turned out fantastic!
They have learned so much this past year and I am so excited to see how they have grown!
