All over Pinterest there are beautiful season trees (you know the ones, each has a different section for summer fall winter and spring) and I thought what better way to round out our nine weeks with some paintings of our own.
One of my students brought in a bunch of cardboard and we got started. We looked at Klimt's work to inspire our trees and talked about how he used swirls for his branches.
This project worked for each student, where they were at artistically. So often I pick a project that is either to easy or difficult for students and it leads to frustration. But this project brought smiles and their own creative touches to their paintings. I will take some more pictures when they are finished!
