Dang this week has been a LONG one! I felt like I have had cabin fever the past couple of days and my students are literally bouncing off the walls, OK not literally, I would send them to the nurse for that.
1. Drinking coke at 8:15 in the morning so I can handle hyper sixth graders
2. Fake photo ops for the colleges pottery website (That't not my pot that I am glazing)
3. Early Christmas dinners with hubster's family calls for braided hair and silly faces.
4. My Great Christmas 2013 package being sent out, learn more about that here.
These past two weeks have been a reminder about what Christmas is all about, God is constantly, and so recently reminding me how blessed we are to have a roof over our heads, food to eat and clothes on our body. I find that while I love the blogging community I am frequently wishing and hoping for beautiful clothes and bobbles that other people have and I am forgetting to be content with what I do have.
Theodore Roosevelt said it best : Comparison is the Thief Of Joy
I pray that I stay in this state of contentment, that I have a spirit of joy in all things and I am reminded of God's gift to us this Christmas season, his son Jesus, which is really all I need.
I hope that you have the very best Christmas and that you find Joy this New Year
