Art History 8th Grade Stacked Boxes with Rubric

My small eighth grade class just finished up an Art History Unit. For this lesson each student picked an artist that they liked and painted four boxes similar to Russian nesting dolls because each box is smaller than the last inspired by their artist. On the bottom of each box they also wrote an interesting fact that they learned about their chosen artist. They turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Here are some of their projects!

Happy  Wednesday!
