So I found THIS AMAZING project on The Boxy Colonial. It rocked my socks off, and since we were visiting my parents, who have a jigsaw and knowledge of power tools I knew it was serendipitous .I drew out the whale, my dad showed my how to use a drill and a jigsaw, it really wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. We used the drill to create holes in the hard to get to spots (like the mouth and the edge of the fin) so the jigsaw could reach.
Here is my dad showing me how it's done!
I used the dremel tool to sand the edges. And tada! It still needs to be painted, or stained but I am so excited about the finished product. Run don't walk to the Boxy Colonial to make your own. I can't wait to make more now that I have "mastered" the jigsaw. My sister already asked for her monogram.
Have you ever used a jigsaw? What have you made?
Teacher Outfit Tuesday will resume next week! Hope you're having a blast this week!
