End Of The Week Art Room Update

I am really trying hard to get back in the routine of posting what is going on in my art classroom. It has been a great start to the school year (can you believe we are already three weeks in?) and lots of great art is being made. Here is a quick run through of what we have been up to! Follow me on Instagram for more updates!

My eighth graders are currently working on Pop Art Self Portraits, and holy cow, they are amazing! Idea found here.

We finally finished up our tape one point perspective project, and are now working on 2 point perspective in 7th grade.  I got this awesome idea from this art room.

Enrichment has finished up the packing tape sculptures, we wrapped body parts with plastic wrap to keep the tape from sticking to skin and it worked well. Idea from this art room and instructions from this site.

Lastly my sixth graders just finished a color unit focusing on Coats of Arms, I think they turned out so great! We made these out of yarn, cardboard, tin foil and sharpie markers.

Oops, one more. Here is a peak at our cave inside the six grade hallway. One of the teachers brought me some chicken coop paper and students made their own Cave of Lascaux paintings.

Happy Weekend!
XO, LKC
