Art Room Happenings

Tomorrow is the last day before break and the kids and teachers are so ready for some time off. But before I sign off, I thought I would leave you with some of the fun stuff we have been working on.

My sixth grade class has been working hard on their one point perspective cities (a project that I usually reserve for my seventh and eighth graders) but they totally rocked it.  Here is our rubric if you would like to use it.  We also used this critique worksheet in pairs to talk about their work. Feel free to use it too!
My seventh graders have been working on endangered animal grid value portraits. Fantastic stuff.

My eighth grade enrichment class has been working on ceiling tiles for our teachers and it has been so great seeing them grow as artists. Each day they paint they get better and better!

I hope your Thanksgiving break is restful and full of goodness. I am so thankful for you!
