Spring is in the air and the end of school is upon us. I can't believe that we only have a little over 9 weeks left. Crazy.
This week we worked on our clay pieces. It's one of my students favorite things to make.
I have used all these projects before, and they always go extremely well. This nine weeks was no different.
Six grade made clay fish and focused on texture and smooth edges. Rubric here.
Seventh grade learned about southern pottery, specifically face jugs and created their own ugly jugs (cups). We watch a clip from History Detectives found here. Rubric here.
Eighth grade used my tried and true Garden Gnome lesson. Find more about this here.
